Nintendo 3DS

June 16, 2010

Supposedly the 3DS will achieve naked eye 3D by using a parallax barrier technique. It’s is compatible with Nintendo DSi, has a top screen that is 3.5 inches and a 3-inch bottom screen, motion sensor, and of coarse Wi-Fi. My only beef with Nintendo are the games. They don’t really offer good action games for the DS, but we’ll see.

Rihanna – You think that fall made her voice crack?

May 12, 2010

I’m sorry, but I can’t understand who would buy tickets and sit through those horrible vocals. I’d rather listen to Nicki Minaj sing on auto tune. Am I lying though?

Liquid Mountaineering

May 12, 2010

Looking for a new sport? Try Liquid Mountaineering, which entails walking on water.

“Or to be more precise: running on water. We are developing the sport from scratch. By accident we found out that with the right water repellent equipment you can run across bodies of water, just like a stone skimming the surface.”

Something about this reminds me of the tree jumping in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Gigantic Solar Waterfall

May 8, 2010

Designed by Swiss architecture firm RAFAA,  building is equipped with solar panels, the solar energy to pump seawater to its top, and resulting falling water spins turbines that produce energy during the night. Guess what? It’s specifically for the 2016 Olympic Games. I know seems like a long time, but this definitely dope! Named the Solar City Tower, the building is equipped with solar panels that pump seawater to its top (using solar energy) which results to falling water that spins turbines which produces energy during the night. The tower can also transform into an urban waterfall the designer calls “a symbol for the forces of nature.”  RAFAA expect to fill the building with an amphitheater, auditorium, cafeteria and shops. This solar city tower even includes bungee jumping and a “glass sky walk” on the very top. “The aim of this project is to ask how the classic concept of a landmark can be reconsidered. It is less about an expressive, iconic architectural form; rather, it is a return to content and actual, real challenges for the imminent post-oil-era. This project represents a message of a society facing the future; thus, it is the representation of an inner attitude. Our project, standing in the tradition of “a building/city as a machine”, shall provide energy both to the city of Rio de Janeiro and its citizens while using natural resources.” I really like this!

Ask Me About My Zombie Tee

May 8, 2010

I thought this was really cool! Never have I seen an “ask me about…” shirt where you actually flip it inside out. But I imagine it would get corny after awhile.

Buy it here!

“Chop an old ladies’ bicycle into something evil.

You know, I post this type of stuff all the time. I hate doing it though because these pics are always one of a kind, meaning these products aren’t offered to people who may want to buy them.

Whoa!!!… WTF?

May 3, 2010

Not sure if it’s real or fake (probably fake) but I just had to post cause this is really cool.
